New Year's Meme

Jennifer tagged me in this New Year's Meme. I've never been tagged before so I'm pretty excited about this. I do realize it is a little late, but here are my answers (my New Year's "goals" are included).

New Year's Eve -- do you like to stay in or go out?
We stay in and watch movies. We always have (for the past 11 New Years' we have been together). So far, the most memorable movie from New Year's Eves in past was The Secret of Roan Inish. Really liked that one. This year, we just hung out. I actually worked in the morning, then I drove downtown to meet Lehu to go to the AT&T store (whoo hoo) to make sure our phones are in working order and to find out how much it might cost to get a smarter Smart Phone and the cost was OUTRAGEOUS, so I'm staying with my second-hand Blackberry that I do not use for the Internet. Lehu had to work later, so I hung around the mall and went to Whole Foods, aka Whole Paycheck and spent too much money on too little (including a wedge of Brie, mmm).

I have little or no interest in going out on New Year's Eve. Even in the days that I was more of a partier...no big parties for me.

Do you like to stay up or just go to sleep?
Try to stay up, once or twice fell asleep early.

Any special plans this year?

What's your favorite New Year's memory?
I have no idea why this is a hard question. I really don't have a favorite memory. I like that Lehu and I are on the same page about hanging out at home on New Year's Eve.

Do you make New Year's Resolutions?
I used to, then I took several years off from making them. Now I think I am going to take this year as an opportunity to set attainable life improvement goals.

Feel like sharing them?
1. To say yes more intentionally. So, I am agreeing to things that I know I want to do...so I won't back out at last minute.

2. To try to integrate Yoga into my life. It will help me attain better knowledge of my center and to help integrate spirituality more regularly.

So far, I've gone to a New Year's Renewal Yoga Workshop on Jan 1. And, I signed up for a four-week Yoga 101 class on Tuesdays at 6. Hooray.

Do you do anything special on New Year's Day?
On New Years Day, I took my first official Yoga class. Then I went to a brunch where I didn't know anyone except the host (and had a really fun time), and then went to a friend's house for tea. It was a lovely way to bring in the new year.

I won't tag anyone, but if you want to do it, go for it!

Happy 2008!
