Go Steelers! And, Cynical Knitter has a printed design!

I have completed the Go Steelers! Lace Scarf for my sister - you know her as Teddy.

Our model is a stunning blonde of retriever lineage...lovely, isn't she?

The pattern will be a .pdf and I will be offering it for free in honor of my sister's worshipful attention to the Steelers.

ETA (on 1/22/09)

It's on Ravelry!

To find black and gold colorways...there is a Steelers Fan Group on Ravelry with great suggestions. One is Lorna's Laces Bumblebee which I am seriously considering for my second scarf. The one in the photo will be shipped to my sister today so she will have it for Super Bowl Sunday.

Thanks for all the support ... if you make it, please post and link to me so I can see it. Hooray!

  5. What a fab model....I hear she is very expensive but well worth it! Now I must knit lace.....it is all your fault, but it is okay by me!

  6. Leah, thanks!!

Anita, I'm excited about it too :)

Wendy: I was also thinking of you when I made this scarf...

Gnat and Roe: go for it! I'd love to see it if/when you do. It would look good in Cubby Bear too but I'm going to do a different design for that...diamonds make more sense for baseball ha ha.

Lisa : she is expensive, and worth it...and I'm happy to take the responsibility of making you start knitting lace. I love lace.

  7. Love that scarf! I just added it to my queue on Ravelry. I'll let you know when I make one. I could just shower your model with hugs and kisses. Truly, I could give her belly rubs for hours.
