The chunky Malabrigo was lovely to work with. It had a nice hand and when I "Soaked" it (I used Soak to wash it before blocking), it got SOFTER!!!
I made the card and used a bit of other yarn to tie up the gift.
The recipient's response was priceless and made up for so many times when I've made something that didn't go over as well. It reminded me of Birdie's Mama's response when she opened the sweaters for Birdie.
Good feelings.
And here's another angle. Gosh that yarn is gorgeous. Yum, it reminds me of chocolate and coffee.
I also have finished the tomato, but need to sew in some ends and think about the lace panel I have been talking about. Then, I need to block it.
But, it fits and it's kind of nice... I'm feeling a little pride I'm not gonna lie to you!
I know I have prize winners to announce. Thank you for donating to Alzheimer's Memory Walk. I appreciate your support.
I'll announce tomorrow :)
