WW Update (slight knitting content)

WW Update Section:

I have lost the equivalent to the weight of 3 gallons of milk.

Today I went to my WW meeting (I missed a few weeks, too lazy to wake up) and I got my 10% key chain! I have lost a little more than 10% of my starting weight. Holy smokes.

I also got (and didn't expect) a medallion for losing 25 lbs. How excited am I? The one on the right is from March, when this started. I was 245.8 pounds. I was a big size 26W (that is, size 26W was getting a little tight). You will also note that there are no plants in March while in August the zucchini plant is HUGE!

The one on the left is from today. Goofball me put the t-shirt on backwards. Oh well. I particularly like the side view comparisons. They are very encouraging for me.

Knitting Content Section:

I have decided to make just a t-shirt style v-neck sweater from the book Top Down Sweaters: Knit to Fit from Top to Bottom - so far so good. Gauge and I are still getting acquainted and I'm okay with that.

Soccer Content Section:

People, my body hurts. I played defense and then I played half-back/midfield. I think I'm going to work on my endurance so I can be a midfielder. There's a LOT of running involved in midfield which will be good for me. And fun!

  1. CONGRATS on the 25 pounds! That is such a wonderful accomplishment!

The before and after pictures are also so brave. I'm not sure that I could have posted that information for the whole world to "see".

I love the book and I'll most likely have to add it to my growing must have list.

Can't wait to see pictures of you in the soccer outfit!

  2. Yay for you. Looking good. I'm envious that you are playing soccer.
