A Knitting Blog Needs Knitting

I know, I know. That isn't knitting. That is Ruthie. She is such a sweet cat that I had to share that photo with you this morning. She often sits on the top of my chair as I knit. So, you see, it is related to knitting.

So, I have actually been knitting. I have been particularly focused on the Blueberry, which has now become a design of my own based on the ideas of a top-down design. I plan to also design my own edging for the neck, sleeves and bottom. As you can see I have a lot of time to decide that.

Last night, I was getting a little "bored" with the knit knit knit in the round that is required for the Blueberry, so I started the Peapod from Interweave. I'm using Shine Worsted from Knit Picks which is really nice but the first several rows of any pattern seem to be really fussy and I was getting tired by the time I started last night at 11:00 pm. I think I unknitted 4 times before I decided to go to sleep. I get really focused at times that I really ahve to tear myself away from the knitting in order to go to sleep. I have to start making LOTS of mistakes before I finally throw in the towel for the evening.

Speaking of throwing in the towel, we are going to the Sky game again tonight. I am bringing knitting. But probably the Blueberry since it is just straight knitting and I can do that and watch the game simultaneously.
