Whiskers on Wednesday

Georgie is such a cute boy.  This little kitty has a heart condition, but also has intermittent seizure-like activity.  It's very odd.

Yesterday he had a really long one and we had to give him some extra medication...which made him really groggy and then really hungry.  This dude was stoned.  We had to watch him because he was wobbling around the house trying to do what he does normally when he isn't on the sauce.

Forgive my crass sense of humor, if I don't laugh I'll cry.

So I carried him downstairs while I cleaned cat boxes and did laundry.  He ate a ton of food.  What a poor boy.  When he finally came down, he started running after his feline sisters...

Stay tuned, we might need to schedule an intervention.

  2. We had a cocker spaniel when I was growing up that had seizures. VERY hard thing to watch. Thank you for loving your pets so completely.

  4. Are you _sure_ it was the right medication? Sounds like the ole boy might have been in to something else (just sayin'!)

  5. Awww, poor Georgie! Hey, if we can't laugh it's too unbearable to watch our fur-babies deal with illness at times...a stoned cat is hilarious!
