Birthday Girl the day after, and Garden Report

I had an awesome birthday. I can say awesome because in the 80's when Moon Unit Zappa and the Val Gal fad went down. I'm 38 now, only three syllables as compared to the hefty four of 37. Phew.

I took pictures of my garden yesterday, because I expected the peonies to start to pop today --- and they did! The peony is looking a little leggy, I think that it might need to be moved for next year so it doesn't have to work so hard to get sun.

Poor thing!

The lilacs are in bloom on my Little Miss Kim Lilac, and the Clematis I got last year is just thriving. I haven't checked the blooms today, but they were well on their way yesterday (as you can see in the photo in a sep. post). Had to include one of Miss Gracie and her sniffing...too much!
